Greg
Thanks for the explanation, my friend, and as a former LSPC treasurer I
think I know those feeling of burn out that treasurer's job creates, as we
know it at the present.
To those of you who never held that job, trust me, it is job that NEVER
ends - from paying monthly bills, reconciling the bank statements, selling
tickets to the ticket sellers and to all the rest of the membership when we
see you come thru the door, making sure the manifests are all properly
accounted for, each individual members account is debited or credited, and
this just a partial list of the duties.
With that being said, now may be the time to discuss alternatives. I think
there has been discussion on using a professional accountant - to what
level, is yet to determined.
or
Maybe we divide the duties - one person to handle the payables & another to
take care of the receivables (tickets and manifests) - making each position
a two year gig. 1st year is the junior position and the rotating to the
senior position the next.
That is just one idea but regardless of what we do - LSPC needs to give
this officer of the club the resources & assistance to do the job so the
Treasurer can come to the Drop Zone, make a fun jump, and not feel guilty !
Thanks for your time

letting us know. I am just one member but I accept your apology. Help do
what you can to straighten it all out and of course, get well soon!

doing such a bad job of treasurer. My reasons are quite personal and don't
expect anyone to under stand. as I write this im in bed with a intestinal
virus and not able to get to the phone store to get my phone fixed I have
done a bad job of keeping up with the accounts but I do promise there are
no shananigans involved just lack of attention and time to do the job that
the club has asked me to do. for that I am truly sorry. I am ready to take
what ever measurers the club should hit me with I just would ask that you
don't kick me out of the club but if that is what the decision is I will
except it. The next couple of weeks are going to be kind of hard because
I find out Tuesday that I will probably need surgery on arm..
