I thought flew very similar to a sabre 2, but with snivelly soft on heading openings and a great flare.It was zippy, but not overly so and could land it anywhere in about any wind. I made around 350 jumps on it. Frankly, everyone I know that's had one has loved it. <br><br>I didn't like the omega as well, but probably liked it as much as the triathlons I've flown. The openings were fine, but it didn't like a 2-stage flare even after it was relined. It just didn't handle as well as the safire. As a warning, most of the used Omegas you will find were measured the non-pd (but now standard) way and are actually smaller than
listed, including the one I had. <div dir="ltr">Alex, <br clear="none">When I was getting back into the sport I bought Lori's old Omega 149 and I put about 50-100 jumps on it. I was about 160-165 lbs. at the time. I really liked it for a 7 cell. Much faster than a Triathlon & flared better too. It would dive out of the sky & had a real nice swoop/flare. The Omega is a semi-elliptical 7 cell. Probably a lot like the old Diablo from Aerodyne.<br clear="none">
<br clear="none">Check on <a rel="nofollow" shape="rect" target="_blank" href="http://dropzone.com/">Dropzone.com</a>. There are quite a few independent opinions about the Omega. I also demo'ed a Safire 2 at 2013 Redemption. It is a very nice canopy as well. I think the Safire 2 is an all around better canopy than the Omega. I now have a Pilot 150 & I love it. I bought the standard ZP fabric. I'd talk to Lucky Chuck. He can get you a better deal than Icarus. FYI: Both Icarus & Aerodyne have demo programs.<br clear="none">
